Living in Alicante
It can be challenging to meet people if you’ve just moved here and don’t speak the language. However, don’t worry, there are many others in your situation. You just have to meet them!
Here’s a list of activities that people have found worked for this (this is not exhaustive, just places that have been personally recommended to me):
Church
- There is a small Anglican congregation that meets Sundays at noon: El Campello Costa Blanca Anglican Chaplaincy. They are super friendly and have a nice gathering afterwards where you can meet people.
- Church of the Good Shepherd. Evangelical with music. https://christianchurchofthegoodshepherd.blogspot.com/
- Evangelical: Together with Jesus and pieba.org
- Baptist: First Evangelical Baptist Church (on Facebook)
Coffee shops with English conversation.
Many Spanish people want to learn English so you can volunteer and meet some nice people.
